Joyful Beginnings Preschool is a ministry of
Calvary Chapel Fellowship Wenatchee Valley Our Purpose and Philosophy is to: Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it Proverbs 22:6 Joyful Beginnings Preschool believes God has created every child unique and special. God has gifted every child with distinct skills and abilities which He desires for them to grow and develop. We are eager to help our students discover and develop the gifts God has given uniquely to them. I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth. 3 John 1:4 The greatest prayer and desire for Christian parents is to see their children walk in the word of truth, and we believe our Heavenly Father wishes the same thing for us. That is why we will be using the word of God to learn and explore the world around us and the God who created it . ![]()

Meesook McMillin
Meesook’s love for young children started 23 years ago when her pastor asked her to teach a Sunday school classroom in a small farm town church in South Korea. Ever since then, God has opened more doors for her to serve and work with children. After she graduated from Hansarang Mission Bible College, she served at the Love-and-Care children’s ministry in India and worked at a preschool in Israel where she met her husband who brought her back to the states. Meesook homeschooled her children for three years, and while teaching them, God rekindled the love for young children in her heart. Because of her love for children and her desire to work with them, she enrolled at Wenatchee Valley College and graduated with a degree in Early Childhood Education. She is very excited for this opportunity to work with children. |
Susan HornerMy name is Susan Horner. I have lived in the Wenatchee Valley since 1967. I have been married to my wonderful husband for 20 years. Together we have 4 children and 7 grandchildren. We have been members of Calvary Chapel Church for 12 years. Currently I baby sit children during the women’s bible study on Wednesday morning. I also volunteer in the nursery on Sunday morning. My past history includes volunteering at the Lee Elementary to help second graders with reading. For two years I worked at East Mount Jr. High creating and serving meal in the cafeteria. I am looking forward to the opportunity to help children at the preschool and expand new knowledge and creativity in a fun learning environment. |
